2010 RPM Event Series Irvine Takes Over the Lush Greens of Hidden Valley

Another beautiful summer weekend in Southern California brought yet another car show! On Saturday August 7th, RPM Event Series 2010 made its way down to Hidden Valley Event Park in Irvine, CA. The day started off really overcast in LA as we made our trek down to Orange County, but we were hopeful that the marine layer would burn off. Luckily the sun made its way through the clouds as we made our way to Irvine!
The venue was definitely unique, I’d never been to Hidden Valley Event Park. Right next door to Wild Rivers Water Park and Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, it’s definitely a hidden treasure. The lay out of the event was a bit more of a workout then some of the other events done in convention centers and the sort, but we didn’t mind. The cars were basically the same as most of the SoCal shows this year. There were a few newcomers here and there, a few changes to some of the usual favorites, but nothing that exciting. I was a lot more excited to see the large motorcycle scene that the show had to offer, and of course the beautiful models!

On Sunday July 18, 2010, the Long Beach Convention Center hosted one of the hottest, most anticipated car shows – Spocom 2010! Hot cars, hot women, and hot weather; what more could you want on your last day off from work for the week? Each and every year Spocom raises the bar for automotive events, and this year they definitely didn’t disappoint. With the American economy in shambles, it’s always nice to get away from reality and check out amazing cars, with my college tuition invested in them. And having 200+ models in attendance didn’t hurt either.
From new to old, bling to ratty, Spocom 2010 Long Beach had it all. This definitely isn’t the car show of 30 years ago, where your girlfriend gets bored after walking around, while you look at and talk about cars for a couple of hours. Now days car shows are less focused strictly on cars, and have instead become a full day of entertainment for both men and women. The planners of Spocom kept a very strict schedule throughout the day, and I want to commend the staff for their successful efforts. The show offered live music, dance competitions, a bikini contest and, my personal favorite, a lingerie contest! Did I mention they had a lingerie contest?!

Alfa Romeo Sports Cars Concept Executive Fastback Saloon for 2017

Introducing 2017 Alfa Romeo Executive Fastback Saloon. Fancy name for a fancy looking car. Designed by Jacob McMurry, this is his version of Alpha Romeo in 2017 which would compliment Alpa Romeo’s return to the North American market. Jacob drew inspiration for this model from the Carnival of Venice and from the 2900B Type 35 racers of the 1930’s.
Alfa Romeo Executive Fastback Saloon for 2017
This Alfa Romeo concept car, which has been designed before the Fiat/Chrysler partnership, inspires comfort, luxury and elegance. Also, thanks to its boat-like tail end, it could well be compared to a small yacht, although in the end it’s only a car…an interesting one, to say the least.
The 2017 Alfa Romeo Executive Fastback Saloon is a concept car designed by Jacob McMurry, a graduate of Art Center College of Design. The design of this elegant vehicle is inspired from the Carnival of Venice and if you’ve been there, you know what we mean.

The vehicle’s roof is made entirely out of smart glass panels, that have the ability to turn completely transparent or opaque. The car benefits from a diesel V8 engine that sends the power to the rear wheels, or an optional biodiesel engine.
